28/01/10 Baie d'oro

This morning after a good night's sleep, we woke up at 7:30 thinking it was 5:30 we all slept very well, we take a huge breakfast. Subsequently, as usual we will have the schedule for our travels, short stop on a deserted beach for me and Anastasia, the others are equipped palm snorkel to see sharks. After an hour they saw no shark but just noticed a small fish and turtles. They returned to us at the place where they had deposited us, we remain a moment to enjoy this little paradise that is protected from wind, water color is clear and sandy-white .. After you stayed there all morning we return to the boat for lunch, after coffee we played poker (just with chips) with Anthony who explained the rules of the game, we started to play and has already lost, although Obviously this is our skipper who won. Meanwhile the Greg not playing, preferred to take the kayak to wash up on a potato (rock surrounded by water) to a dive and admire the underwater background. It is 16 hours the sun is right in front of me I'm viewing from a sitting in the back of the boat to enjoy the view while watching the fishing lines of girls, not the patient to wait. I forgot the girls are mounted to the mast of the cat, it's not a joke I have the photos, they got a little scared but Natasha has returned to take pictures.

To close the day, another skipper told us that there are dolphins off, then we take the schedule and we are rushing in search of cetaceans. Suddenly we see them off, we approach with the schedule and also turn away to come and play, jump, crawl under the canoe and race with us. Guaranteed spectacle hard to describe, but the images are in a corner of our brain. We tried to take some pictures as soon as we visionnerons we will be ashore. Ending a great day to finish the evening with champagne BBQ. Tomorrow The dream of heaven and 10 hours of navigation to return to Noumea, everything at the end.

27/01/10 Road has Gadji Oro Bay

Already three days we left and we do not tire of the landscape before us has each day that passes. This morning swim at the water's edge on a deserted beach. The water is warm but there are big clouds after swimming so we got a little cold. We returned by the Annex on the catamaran. After the meal towards the Bay d'oro. 2:30 sailing from there we move a lot of wind at 10 knots (about 19 km / h). This is more environmentally friendly. When we arrived, the skipper dropped anchor and we annex to visit the natural pool. Indeed "it feels like an aquarium." We walked barefoot in a river with clear water and white sand to arrive in the middle of a natural setting surrounded by lush vegetation. In the midst of this landscape is a hole saltwater, powered by the ocean rushes by a fault at high tide, and in the middle of which is a potato coral or clumps a large number of all species of tropical fish more colorful than the others and that you are biting your fingertips to get something to eat. We drove around in palm, mask, snorkel and admire this enchanting spectacle. YouTube Preview Image Greg remained a little longer to make beautiful pictures of these fish. After swimming in this heavenly spot, we start looking for a liter of milk that we have forgotten on our list and we need for dinner. Anchored in front of the hotel Le Meridien or all tourists descend. It bears no resemblance to that of Noumea, here is more of a small wooden house typical of the waterfront, surrounded by palm trees and a garden with tailor-made, but a truly heavenly night must be very expensive costing cfp count 80,000 francs for the luxury box. We got through the hotel as we refueled in milk at the bar, for 1000 francs we had two liters (the hotel is its renaming but it is expensive per liter of milk). A bay paradise but I think all the islands look alike to certain exceptions, to see for the next ...

Back on the catamaran, we prepare the evening meal with milk. At the end of the meal we are all part of YAMS (dice game) with the girls. Then towards the bunks, beds are wide enough, I'm surprised, because you must know that this is the first time I trip on a catamaran, excited for this cruise I will repeat the experience if the opportunity arises ...

26/01/10 Departure Prony-Iles des Pins-Gadji

First night very quiet, no noise, a bright moon and some stars that twinkle in the sky above, it was long since we had not seen ca. Bed around 08heures evening to be in good shape the next morning. I prefer sleeping in the tent catamaran that there is no picture. Besides the beds are large and broad, little cover for the end of the night. The sun rose at 5:30 in the morning, we woke to 06heures as agreed with Anthony to sail to 07heures. The sun is indeed with few clouds, we leave Prony for 7 hours of crossing the open sea What to do when you're on a boat, for my part I was a forward on the trampoline between the sun, wind and clapetti the waves while trying to be a little wet. Temperature it is fine, there are 20 nodes registered on the dial and because it feels to cook lunch there was a little roll not easy, nap and then to 14 hours after we see the tip of the island pines : Small islands with green vegetation and the pines and the water color is a turquoise blue as the postcards I sent for the first year. A quick tour of the island and then we go to the Annex to snorkel, go all the water has to admire the depths like in the movie Abyss, the corals are really beautiful, our skipper knows the area well because he has had his leg hanging a knife in case there would be sharks, one year there was one who turned him around without attacking. Girls while I have requested again a little tired I hoisted in the annex to wait. [Kaltura-widget wid = "" width = "400" height = "290" style = "margin: 10px;" AddPermission = "" editpermission = "" align = "right" /] Trivia or the place we were was the location of one of koh lanta. Return to the boat to capsize everyone, small snack, the girls went to play the DS, Greg went to take pictures, Anthony went to rest and I'm trying to write our story. Then I déchargerai the photos that we will later. Here it is 17 hours we're all tired I will enjoy the last rays of sun before preparing the meal, it's salad for lunch and evening meals more filling, and dinner will be chicken rice ca lemon sauce. The catamaran is equipped as the trailer we had to go around Australia.

25/01/10 Departure Port Moselle / Stop Prony Bay

D-Day, 7:00 am we close the door to house key management port Moselle. The weather is great there is plenty of sun, we head to the catamaran with skipper who is named Anthony. We take our neighborhoods, line up our business and put in fresh fruits and our vegetables, then I moved to the front of the boat to stay at least 2 hours. Relaxation for the start but the sun is, I put the cream too late but I have sunburn. It takes 3 hours to get to prony (which is located in the south of Noumea) then we will more precisely to the River kaoris or we will spend the night. Small output attached to discover small pool of natural hot water not very hot but pleasant to the skin (fresh water). We return to the boat to swim all around is fresh and pleasant. 16 hours, the hours of taste for girls, my first impressions are good I expect to have slept my first night on board. All the world goes about its business ... Everything has a time ca be mealtime, spaghetti bolognaise and starting tomorrow morning as towards the island of pine trees ....

17/01/09 The rest of the weekend

No it's not hko lanta, the night was short because we got up at 5 ½ hours to prepare wood for heating his breakfast and then we fold the tents before 8 o'clock, the hour of the first arrivals. The night was horrible in tents, mattresses too small but I had the worst cold night I had left the tent at least two or three times, so I had my head in the clouds a little early morning . But I had the chance to see an independent thief with wings deployed to EWC for toilets, the place where I was but I did not have my camera. After breakfast, coffee / tea / cake / kouglof we start a search of the fabled bird that we did not find last night, this morning we have a little more luck, we perceive one, two, then three, then the cameras for the best image. We continue our ride every 6 km through the forest while there admiring the wildlife and trying to recognize the sounds of birds, as well as we crossed the river to reach the other shore. Back at camp we all go to the river to refresh us and we try our new camera that goes underwater. Then back to camp for snacks, last meal together before separating. Super weekend with a great sun rare in the region, we had a bowl. We will put together ca, and maybe a trip to New Zealand because we all benefit from the same generation with the same hobbies.
